Nationally acclaimed guitarist Jimmy Patton is renowned for his ability to play two separate guitars at the same time, playing both melody and accompaniment parts simultaneously. He performs his own arrangements of popular and jazz tunes, as well as original compositions.

In 2001, Patton claimed the title of "Best Unsigned Guitarist in the Nation," defeating over 3,000 guitarists across the entire United States. In this Guitar Center sponsored "Guitarmageddon" competition, Patton won a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Patton has shared the stage with Grammy award-winning Stanley Jordan, Laurence Juber of Paul McCartney's "Wings," Adrian Legg, Preston Reed, virtuoso rock guitarist Tony Macalpine, as well as keyboardist Derek Sherinian of "Dream Theater." He studied under Fred Benedetti of Benedetti & Svoboda master guitar duo.

Rowland Schultz "Vikingo De Jerez"
http://www.myspace.com/vikingodejerez

Rowland Schultz (Vikingo De Jerez) is a self taught Flamenco guitarist who was first discovered in 2007 by Tommy Emmanuel. ‘Awesome music. Your stuff is really incredible’ Tommy Emmanuel

Rowland is inspired by the Gipsy Flamenco artists of Andalucia Spain and has been described as a Phenomenon by ‘Duquende’ the Duke of Duende who also happens to be Paco De Lucia’s most favored Gipsy Flamenco singer (Duquende is currently on tour with Paco De Lucia & Co 2010). Also an accomplished Oud player, Rowland has infused the sound of the Oud within his original Flamenco guitar technique. His unique self taught style and drive in his composition have attracted attention from leading Flamenco Artists and Musicians worldwide including Duquende, Tommy Emmanuel, Ginesa Ortega, Antonio Vargas, Misirli Ahmet, Harri Stojka, Lulo Reinhardt – to name a few

Rowland has supported Europe’s largest 40-piece Gypsy Big Band (The Gypsy Queens and Kings), which featured Esma Redzepova – (Queen of the Gypsies). Rowland has also performed at the Malt House Theatre, alongside Simon Palomares, in his theatre production Its Complicated. In 2009 Rowland was invited to headline the Adelaide Guitar Fringe Festival 2009 and at Manchester Lane Rowland performed solo as support act to Lulo Reinhardt (Gypsy Jazz Guitarist) from the famous Django Reinhardt Gypsy Family in Europe.

Currently Rowland is in pre-production for his first album, due for release later in the year. The album has been recorded in his very own personal flamenco recording studio (Duende Studios) and has been mixed and mastered by John Butler’s producer – Robin Mai at Woodstock Studios

Rowland Schultz (Vikingo De Jerez) collaborates with many Flamenco Artists in Australia and overseas including Antonio Vargas ( Strictly Ballroom, Mission Impossible) Laura Uhe (Carmen the Opera) Juan Martinez (Dickson & Martinez) Michael Kontochristos (LP), Fernando Mira (Carmen the Opera) and Stuart Henderson (Arrebato Ensemble).

A Flamenco Force is Rumbling in Australia!
In anticipation of their new cd and upcoming tour, I am excited to announce OstrieMusicSupplies.com 's endorsement of guitarist Rowland Schultz!

He found the outstanding sound and playability he requires with Mari strings: "I perform only on the best Flamenco guitars, Media Luna Conde Hermanos guitars made by Faustino and Mariano Senior. Daniel Mari Strings are the only strings on the market that truly bring out all the quality's of these guitars. I will give you an example : the other guitarist in our group had trouble getting an ample sound out of his guitar in acoustic scenario's, once i gave him a set of Daniel Mari strings to try out, he was literally blown away by the fact that he finally had the volume with touch control he had always dreamed of. He can now play lightly and have more volume than if he were to play with forte on the old strings he used to use." - Rowland
